Hello! It’s that time of the week again….doesn’t it come round quickly? If you spotted my mid week post about the Planet Penny Cotton crochet inspirations, you’ll know this post represents a very quick gear change to get back to needlefelting again to build up my flock of Robins.
I think I’m going to have set days for each to keep on top of things, oh to be disciplined and organised. I’ve a feeling I may left it a little late in the day to change, but I do try!
And I have been sloping off when the sun shines to keep a small dog happy. We went to our favourite Norfolk beach during the week…
So peaceful, and completely deserted, Just me, Higgins and the seagulls. Not even a seal this time.
Higgins had a great time…
love the little pink tongue!
Did I mention he’s on a healthy eating and fitness regime? The last weigh in at the vet’s pronounced him at the top end of his ideal weight window, so charging madly around the beach is just what the ‘doctor’ ordered. (It’s not doing me any harm either!)
And later, back in the studio, the flock of Robins keeps growing…
Robins great and small…
I have a lovely selection of rings, wreaths and hearts for my robins to sit on so that’s tomorrows job!
I’m battling with the internet at the moment, it’s running like very cold treacle, so I shall quit while I’m ahead and leave you with a link to this week’s Handmade Monday over at Handmade Harbour. Have a lovely week, I will be back soon….x
I do love your robins!
Disciplined and organised are words I’m trying to get acquainted with too.
Higgins looks like he’s having great fun 🙂
Your post definitely cheered me up – dog, beach and gorgeous robins. Good luck on the organisation and internet front (I’ve the same problems – let me know if you find a solution!)
Hi Penny and Higgins! We would love (and should) join your beach runnings! Higgins looks always so beautiful and cute – I love his ears!
Sweet little Robins! I’m looking forward to see all the sweet things you’ll make for the Christmas!

Love that last picture of Higgins with his inside-out ears. I bumped into two tiny wee miniature Dachshunds in my local town on Saturday, they were so very sweet.
Love the robins! I’m also trying to make things for Christmas and your robins are definitely inspiring me!
looks like you had a wonderful time at the beach 🙂 Higgins is sooooo adorable! I’ve love to see him play with my dog who is a whippet and so v long in the leg… they’d be quite the comedy double act! 🙂
your robins are gorgeous – and breeding fast! i love the way they’re collecting in little groups! x
I do love Higgins, he looks such a lovely chap.
Nice cheery robins, I had one in the garden the other day master of all he surveyed!
I so wish that we lived near the beach when I see such lovely photos. The robins are so cute. Good luck with your discipline!!
Looks like Higgins has a great time. You’re going to need a pretty big bird bath for all those robins 😀
Higgins is so sweet. We have got sucked into a TV programme called Top Dog Model, but I think he is cuter. Like your robins. I have been trying to design a knitted robin, but family thought my first effort looked more like a flying monkey. Back to the drawing board!
I like walking by the sea – even when the weather is not great – it’s so calming. Great photo set with the robins (they are lovely too, but I do like how you arranged them with the tree and greenery).
Those robins are just gorgeous! Look great all together 🙂
Oh I love seeing Higgins having a lot of fun!! Cute robins too.

I particularly like that last floppy-eared photo of Higgins. Hope he enjoys his new regime!
The robins are adorable. If you find the secret to organisation and discipline, please share! 🙂
P.S. I should have said this before – your new header looks wonderful.
Aaaaaahhhh, what can I say? The robins are really gorgeous – as is Higgins of course. Hope you have a good week.
I do wish we lived nearer a beach. My largest dog, Digby (a Giant Schnauzer) absolutely loves the sea!!
Your robins are adorable and it reminds me that I need to get on with some of my own.
I love your photos of the robins with more and more in each one. You have been busy!
What a beautiful beach you have to walk on. I would never do any crafting if that was on my doorstep. Lucky you.
The robins are so sweet. I think they’ll look wonderful on a wreath. It looks like Higgins had a great time at the beach. Have a lovely week.

Great to see Higgins having fun there. My dog has been on a strict diet with lots of exercise too. Those robins look such a happy family 🙂
Great photos! And lovely little robins!! Sounds like a great week :o) Kirsty
Aaaw Higgins I love your little flappy windy ears, too sweet for words. I looks like he’s having a blast Penny. Ido get very excited to find a deserted beach, one of my favourite things in nature together with forests and deserts. The more deserted the better I think.
As for being organised well, I agree with Mrs. Micawber, please do share your secrets if you find they work. I am always amazed at how organised i am at work but then the wheels loosen somewhat when I get home :o) All part of the fun and games xox Keep cosy this week ahead x P
Higgins is a delight. Every time I see him here I think I must share more pics of my four-legged crew on my blog, but the whippets are always either asleep – boring – or whizzing about – blurring! Maybe I need another dachshund 😉
Loving all the Robins Penny 😀
Those robins are just so gorgeous. I love your photos of your dog on the beach too. I wish I could take my cats out for the day with me, especially my young cat who is too fat 😉 xxx
I love the robins! And Higgins is just gorgeous.I love to see how happy he is on the beach.Beautiful photos.
That’s one happy dog! I always find it difficult meeting pre christmas schedules, its a challenging time of the year – good luck!
I love the robins! are they needle felted?
You’re robins are so cute – and I love how you’re photographed them with real foliage. What a great idea! You have a super site here, and I’ll efinitely be visiting again.

Higgens looked like he was having the time of his doggy life on the beach! My dog Maddy loves to run about on the sand. But she won’t go in the sea.
Your robins are adorable!
Wendy 🙂
The robins are gorgeous, Penny – just the ticket to get my brain in the mood for Christmas planning (the weather here certainly doesn’t do it!)
